Heal Farm, Kings Nympton
Anne Petch, owner of Heal farm enthuses that "Our basic philosophies are as strong today as they were thirty years ago, We are more passionate than ever about the creation of good food,old fashioned breeds reared in a traditional farming system produces the best tasting pork." To Anne's astonishment she discovered her five times great grandfather Sir Robert Peel created the Tamworth Breed! Some may say that producing top quality breeds is destiny.
Beef ~ North Devon Red Ruby Beef, is reared near to Kings Nympton that is a succulent meat full of flavour. It's naturally marbled and hung for 4 weeks.
Lamb ~ Breed for years by friends of Anne Petch on the Mendip Hills in Somerset. The Lambs graze on permenant pastures, feeding off fine grass and wild herbs. The old breeds of Shetland, Ryeland and South Down are what we use on our menu's.
Pork ~ Heal Farm farms its own traditional breeds of Tamworth Pork we use the pork belly, pork tenderloin, loin and ham hocks on our menu's.
Chicken and Duck ~ Anne has used the same Devon Producer 'Creedy Carver' since the 1970's. We use slow growing free range Ross Cob Hybrid Chickens and Aylesbury Duckling which are fed on low density, high fibre feeds.
Venison ~ All the venison is supplied to use by Anne and all is wild. It is Red Deer from the Devonshire Moors. It is fantastically flavoursome, when eating you can taste the wild herbs it has been feeding on and the tenderness is fantastic.
Ed’s Fruits & Vegetables, Braunton
For all fruits & Vegetables unless in season on our grounds. Every five weeks chef meets with Ian Edd to discuss what will be fresh and seasonal for use at Northcote Manor. The menus are then created according to the availability of the local produce. Favourites include Green asparagus from the great field at Braunton, Devon & Somerset berries, Devon peas and broad beans and cauliflower.
Devon Berries, Yelland Farm Nurseries, Harricott include Elsanta Strawberries, we are also lucky enough to have a later crop of English strawberries in late August early September.

Chef has built up a trust and respect with owner Robert Clifford WIng and has used the company for over seven years. Robert founded Wing Fish over 25 years ago and due to his experience as a head chef, fisherman and trawler owner he has a wealth of experience and knowlege that makes him one of the best fish mongers Richie has used. All Wing's fish is caught and prepared daily from the arkets of Looe, Plymouth and Brixham. Chef works on a five week rotation to make sure that the fish is the best for the season. Chef's favourites are Cornish lobster, river Fowey clams, Cornish Cock crab, wild Cornish mussels, Cornsh Cod and Wild Cornish sea bass.
