The beautiful countryside which surrounds Northcote Manor lends itself well to numerous activities all year round. Set in twenty acres of mature woodlands, lawns and gardens, the walks and views over the Taw valley are breathtaking, setting the scene for healthy relaxation and gentle leisure.
The area is famous for its natural beauty and abundance of wildlife; many hours can be spent exploring the beauty of this unspoilt corner of Britain.
For those who would like a little more activity, Northcote Manor has a hard tennis court and croquet lawn with many other activities which can be organised by our staff.
Beyond our grounds, there is much to enjoy in North Devon. Almost on our doorstep there is the challenging 18-hole Libbaton Golf Course. There is game fishing on the River Taw and slightly further afield, on the the River Mole. To organise fishing visit Blakewell Fisheries Riding stables are close by and for those who enjoy walking and cycling we have the prefect location, with spectatular scenery at every turn.
The area has an abundance of historic buildings cared for by the National Trust, including Arlington Court, Knightshayes Court, Killerton and Castle Drogo. RHS Rosemoor and Dartington Glass Factory are also close by.
